Reclaiming the Witch: History, Misconceptions and the Modern Evolution of Witchcraft with Arianna Zane

What comes to mind when you hear the word witch?

For many of us, it's an image shaped by folklore, popular culture and centuries of misunderstanding. But behind those stories is a living spiritual tradition rooted in nature, ritual, community and personal sovereignty.

In this conversation, Heather sits down with Wiccan elder Arianna Zane, who was raised in the Wiccan religion, to explore what Wicca actually is and how it has evolved into the modern world. Together they unpack the history of Wicca, the Wheel of the Year, covens, spellwork and seasonal rituals, while exploring why many practices associated with witchcraft may not be as unfamiliar as they first appear.

Rather than asking listeners to adopt a new belief system, this conversation offers a thoughtful reframe of one of today's most misunderstood spiritual traditions. About Arianna

Arianna is a Wiccan Elder raised in the Wiccan religion, and currently educates fellow magic workers in their personal practices. She can be found creating magic at the Serpent and the Dove in Mullica Hill, New Jersey. When she's not dancing in the woods with her coven, she is discovering magic in the everyday with her son and husband.
